Simsbury Junior Woman's Club

The Simsbury Junior Woman’s Club is an organization of women from Simsbury and surrounding towns who share a desire to give back to our community by offering programs, services, and funds to local children, agencies, and neighbors in need.

What we do

Our programming changes from year to year based on the interests of current members.  Examples of service projects we have undertaken in recent years include:
We work closely with the Simsbury Public Library children’s room to put on programs such as our annual Teddy Bear Sleepover
  • We distribute Meals on Wheels
  • We support Simsbury Senior Center events
  • We run activities at local retirement homes
  • We hold an annual children’s fair called the Ladybug Bash
  • We collect gently used stuffed animals that are rehabbed for first responders to give to children in crisis situations.

Who we are

Our membership is comprised of women from a variety of backgrounds.  We are all women 18 years and older, and our members include stay-at-home moms, women in the workforce, and students. We live in Simsbury as well as neighboring towns like Canton, Avon, Granby and West Hartford. What we all have in common is a desire to volunteer some time and energy to help those in need in our community. Some of our members have lived here for years, while others are new to town.

Join us!

As a Junior you become part of a wonderful group of like-minded people who have fun doing great things for our neighbors in need. As a bonus, we develop amazing friendships within the club that last for years.  Oh, and did we mention that we have fun?

Check out our membership page to learn how to join. Still undecided? Attend one of our general meetings, read through the Is SJWC right for me info, or contact us so that we can answer your questions about our vibrant and dynamic volunteer organization.
